- How long until our team is up and running?
- Most teams are live the same day they sign. Coders log in with their work email, your admin assigns seats, and our team runs a 30-minute kickoff to walk through the workflow. Larger rollouts (25+ seats) typically include a second session focused on QA review patterns.
- Will HCC Buddy work alongside our current EMR and encoder?
- Yes. Coders open HCC Buddy in a side panel or browser tab while they work in your EMR. Nothing pulls patient data out of the EMR. Teams using Optum, 3M, or Codify typically run HCC Buddy alongside their existing tools rather than replacing them outright.
- Do you offer a Business Associate Agreement?
- Yes. BAA is available on request. Because the product never touches chart text, the BAA scope is narrow and signs in 2-3 business days. Your privacy team can email privacy@hccbuddy.com for the latest draft.
- When will SSO / SAML be available for our IdP?
- SSO is available on 25+ seat plans today via Okta and Microsoft Entra ID. Other IdPs (PingFederate, Azure AD B2C, OneLogin) can be enabled during onboarding — we coordinate the metadata exchange during the kickoff call.
- How does billing work for teams?
- One consolidated monthly or annual invoice. Net-30 terms available on annual plans. You add or remove coders from the team admin dashboard, and pro-rated adjustments appear on the next invoice. No per-seat surprise charges mid-cycle.
- What happens if a coder leaves the team?
- The admin removes their seat from the dashboard. Their account is deactivated immediately; their saved bookmarks and notes are exported on request. You can reassign the freed seat to another coder the same day.
