Account and subscription

The mobile app is a reader for your existing HCC Buddy subscription. To start a trial, change plans, update payment, or cancel, sign in on hccbuddy.com/account.

Common issues

  • Cannot sign in: use the same email and password you set on hccbuddy.com. Reset your password from the sign-in screen if needed. Most sign-in problems are an unverified email, check your inbox for the verification link from support@hccbuddy.com.
  • App says trial expired but I just paid: pull down to refresh on the search screen, or sign out and sign back in. The app re-checks your subscription on every cold launch.
  • Search returns nothing or an error: check your internet connection. The app needs an active connection, there is no offline mode in this version.
  • Face ID or Touch ID isn't prompting:open Account → App Lock and toggle it on. If you previously denied biometric permission for the app, you must re-enable it in your device's Settings → HCC Buddy.
  • App keeps asking me to update: install the latest version from the App Store or Play Store. We forbid older builds from connecting once a new version with security or accuracy fixes ships.
  • Got a wrong code: HCC Buddy is an informational reference, not a substitute for professional coding judgment. Always verify against current CMS and ICD-10-CM official guidelines. Email support@hccbuddy.com with the query and the result you expected so we can review.

Privacy reminder

Do not include patient names, member IDs, dates of birth, or any other PHI in support emails or in-app searches. The app does not ask for or transmit patient identifiers. See our mobile privacy policy.

System requirements

  • iOS 16 or later (iPhone). iPad is supported in compatibility mode.
  • Android 9 (API 28) or later.
  • Active HCC Buddy subscription or trial.
